Mission Statement

It is the intention of the Corner Boxing Club Development Program to work with everyone whose mission reflects the core values of the club, while protecting the integrity and promoting the sport of boxing. This program will provide an environment where young athletes can establish skills that promote physical and emotional wellbeing. While expanding individual athletic skills, the athletes will develop work ethic, discipline, sportsmanship, personal character, pride and respect. This respect extends unconditionally to ALL people regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexuality, or socioeconomic status. As our athletes develop both in and out of the ring, they will be offered the opportunity to compete. This will include participation in local shows and tournaments held throughout the year to promote sense of community while providing young athletes an opportunity to showcase their talents.

Competitive Youth

Mondays - Thursdays
4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Saturdays
10:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Younger athletes interested in competition MUST be a USA Boxing registered athlete and have permission from Coach Carrie in order to participate in the Competitive Youth program. Boxing instruction takes place from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. This program focuses on preparing athletes for competition by first teaching boxing fundamentals, then integrating that knowledge into live boxing scenarios. It should be noted, however, that while this program has a competitive focus, no athlete is required to compete. Youth enrolled in the Competitive Youth Boxing Program are required to volunteer at least one Saturday a month to maintain their gym membership. The volunteer work may range from helping with gym maintenance and general cleaning duties to working gym-sponsored events.
